Kaya Puff by Leow Li Min

I heard this Ipoh famous traditional biscuit from my Ipoh friend. She told me how delicious the kaya puff is, I still don’t believe it. Until I went to Sin Eng Heong with my friend, I can feels the fame of this shop!!! As the photo below, you can see the traditional biscuits of Sin Eng Heong is so famous in Ipoh! The reputation of Sin Eng Heong also spread throughout entire Ipoh. If you are the residents Ipoh, you must know this kaya puffs produce by Sin Eng Heong very well…Really Famous!

Many people are lined up in front of the shop. During peak hours and holidays, we have to queue in front of the shop for 2 hours to buy the kaya puffs…but it is worth to wait up to 2 hours. In order to buy kaya puffs, many people were started to line up before the shop start its business. If tourists from another state or country ask the local residents what is the famous traditional biscuit in Ipoh? Let me guess…Kaya Puffs??? That’s right! They must recommend this famous fluffy kaya puffs.

Wow! The freshly baked fluffy kaya puffs look delicious!!! Let me have a try first…YUMMY!!! The golden brown color crispy pastry and the rich stuffing of kaya fillings…great taste! The sweetness of kaya fillings also fulfilled everyone' taste. This kaya puffs also can be paired with Ipoh white coffee as breakfast. If you visit Ipoh, you may buy this kaya puff as a gift for your relatives and friends since their packaging is very nice.

The price of kaya puff is reasonable and worthy… just RM1 per piece! The kaya puffs have 2 different packaging--5 pieces(RM5) for one small plastic container and 10 pieces(RM10) for one box.
