Rojak by Christina Tan Xin Ni

Last few days, I went to restaurant and I found a very special food. I do think that you all knew it very well. It is rojak. Usually this food is the combination of different kind of fruits such as cucumber, pineapple, benkoang (jicama), bean sprouts, taupok (puffy, deep-fried tofu) and youtiao (cut-up Chinese-style fritters). I believe that most of us must tried rojak before. It is very common in Malaysia especially in Penang, Perak or even Kuala Lumpur.

But different places have their different cultural, they make rojak by using different ingredient. Penang rojak are mix all the fruits and spicy piquant sauce together. I realized that Perak’s rojak is a little bit different with other places after I joined UTAR family.

Perak’s rojak have a bit different, it mixes abundance of crunchy deep-fried dough fritters with the fruits and some spicy piquant. The reason that I like rojak is because in this food we can eat many types of fruits. Besides that, the spicy piquant is also delicious. It is very awesome when it mixes with the fruits. You all can see the picture below, i am holding the rojak and you all may be able to see that how does it looks like.

While i am eating the rojak, i still able to chat with the owner of the stall about the rojak. Here are some dialogues.

We can know that most of the rojak are healthy and suitable for anyone either adult nor children and i believe that children will like it very much because it is really crunchy. Hahahaha. Opsssss, i forgot to mention the price. Let you all guess how much is the rojak. It just costs us RM 5.00 and i do think the price is really worth it because it have a lot of the ingredients and the most important thing is IT IS REALLY DELICIOUS. Totally worth it!!!
