(Me and the shop) |
Finally able to grab some refreshing dessert on this hot
whether! This time i visited the Ipoh Famous Funny Mountain
Soya Bean.
This soya bean curd or most people called it as “tau fu fah”
(in Cantonese) has run the business since 1952. The family business has become the
topic once talk about dessert in the town. The good thing is that the ‘tau fu
fah’ or any dessert in their shop did not use any preservative and it is halal. So if
you plan to take-away, it is better to eat it sooner or eat it on the spot! The
shop still have the same service such as walk-in or drive thru. The drive thru
service are convenience as the shop are always full of people. Customer could
just park right in front of the shop or nearby the shop. All you have to do is
wave at them and one of their worker will come to take order. The shop open at
10.30 till while the stock last. So it is better to reach as early as possible.
(Tau Fu Fah) |
Beside the ‘tau fu fah’. They also sell drink such as soya
bean or soya bean with cincau (grass jelly). The drink you may choose to drink
on the spot or even a take-away. It available in small or big sizes. Small
RM2.50 and big is RM6.00.
(Menu) |
The
stall has the simple menu which is ‘tau fu fah”, soya bean or soya bean with
grass jelly.
